Sniff...

Hello to all. Sorry it's been so long, but like many people in the world (you know who you are), we've had a lot going on lately. For example, our church's VBS was in June (it went extremely well), July and August we had birthdays to celebrate (happy birthday again!) and earlier this month we went to the beach (got a couple of pictures below so the grands won't jump on me).
This is an extremely rare picture of Gabby the Seaturtle. She's so shy usually no one can find her, but this year she came out of hiding and was munching on seaweed. I was soooo excited!
This fearsome beast is Annie Armstrong, my baby. :) Thanks again to my dear, sweet, charming, amazing, lovely... very patient- uncle and cousins who gave her a ride from the vet's office where we were boarding her to our house. I hope ya'll have gotten Ode de Basset Stank out of your car... Now, I think it's about time I explained the title I chose for this post. Sniff. It's what I've been doing all day. Can you believe I went and caught myself a cold the day before my doctor's visit? That's timing, right there! My nose is running, my ears are whistling (don't ask) and my head's so full of snot it feels like it's being squeezed like an orange, but this very day, through much toil, sweat and snot- I have found the cure for the common cold! Here is my cure for the common cold in three easy steps, so pay attention... 1. Sleep a lot- your mama will tell you that. 2. Eat lots of chocolate- your mama won't tell you this, but she should, chocolate has been proven to cure all ills. 3. Watch Sanford and Son- your mama will definately not tell you this, but everyone knows that laughter is the best medicine. Well, there it is! The cure for the common cold! Well, it hasn't cured me yet, but I still have faith... you can thank me later... Adios! :)

Something New

Hey, everybody! I was racking my brains trying to think of something to blog about. Well, mom got a book totally about blog ideas, and I decided to peruse it in the hopes of finding something interesting. So what I'm going to do is I'm going to make a list of my favorite quotes for ya'll. Can you tell me what shows these are from? 1. "What in Davey Crockett's sweat-stained buckskins is going on?!?" 2. "What in the name of Ghandi's nunchucks?!?" 3. "My booty is perfectly calibrated, this could throw it out of wackiness!" 4. "Is it dangerous? Yes, of course it is dangerous!" 5. "Wrote a song about it, like to hear it, here it go!" Never fear, I'll think of more later, and if there's anyone out there saying "but wait, those aren't from historical figures or ancient proverbs or of any real importantce whatsoever, they are all quotes from cartoons!" My answer to you would be... Yes, yes they are... ;) So, now that I've given ya'll some of my favorite quotes, I want to hear your favorites. That is your mission, should you choose to accept it. Keep on keepin' on! Em

Hello, all!

As some of you probably know (because you are all family) I had a blog before called Lifesong. Well, either something went wrong with that website or I know absolutely nothing about computers, either way, I can no longer use that blog. What might the solution be for such a problem? Start a new blog, of course! With that having been said, I present to you Amazing Life! Can't you just hear the choirs of angels singing? No? ...well I can... :) Anyway, as before I took the name from a christian song, this time by Britt Nicole. The same rules as before apply; This blog is for the sole purpose of giving praise to GOD for all that He has done in my life and in the life of my family. If anyone feels the need to be spiteful, hurtful, mean, atheistic, or just plain annoying... take it somewhere else, will you? Thanks. Now that we've got all the boring stuff out of the way, let's move on. We've had so much going on this year! In January, we moved back home! It's great to be near family again and have a new church family, to boot. In Feburary, littlest brother turned six years old. He has grown so much! In April, I turned 18 and little sis turned 11. I can't believe how much she's grown, and I especially can't believe that I'm considered a legal adult now... it's scary! Last month I graduated high school. It was a wonderful, worshipful time with family, just the way I wanted it. Finally, coming up in two weeks is our church's Vacation Bible School, which I was nominated director of. To anyone who does not know me, I eat, sleep and breathe VBS, I've participated in it all my life and helped teach since I was 12, but this is my first time directing. I'm pretty nervous, so some prayer would be much appreciated. Thanks. I guess that's it for now, sorry there were no pictures. I'll post some pics soon, grands, I promise. :) Adios Amigos! Em
